Blog Love – 09/01/2015

Hi guys! Two Blog Love posts in a row, can you believe it? Well it’s happening :P.

Since the New Year started I’ve been looking for better ways of displaying this section, I first tried to only present the links I found interesting, but it’s really bizarre for me to find recipes between DIY and tips, sooo I think the display I bring today will be easier for everyone: If you are in the mood of something concrete you can go for it and only look for the correct header.

Cooking & nutrition

  • This recipe is making me hungry right now!
  • Let’s go for red fruits again with this (Looking-delicious) blueberry smoothie.
  • Doesn’t look this chiken recipe perfect for a night with friends?
  • Does winter make you feel cold lately? Let’s add some noddle soup to the menu.
  • What about give it a go and try to make some almond milk? Are you ready for some honey on it?
  • Well, winter and mojito sometimes doesn’t look as the right combination, maybe with some new cocktails
  • What about slow down and sugar and try new ways of sweeten life?
  • Sometimes I am not really sure how I should store groceries and fruits: here’s the ultimated guide to never again mess up with them.

Bloggership: What I’ve been loving lately

Hello people, it’s Friday!

On the almost two years I’ve been intermittently blogging I’ve learned many things. When I decided to start writing I barely knew anything about the blogosphere: I only read a couple of blogs, I didn’t usually read them and was so lost that I didn’t even know where to start. But the thing is since I watched Julie & Julia the idea was on the back of my head. And finally, when I decided to start digging in this world I found one of the best hobbies I could find. Now, two years later, I read too many blogs, I’ve known people from all over the world and enjoy reading their stories, looking at their pictures, trying their recipes, making their DIY and learning with their tutorials.

With this post I am starting another blog love series, because my voice wouldn’t be my voice if I didn’t read so many amazing blogs and because these blogs and the authors deserve a mention on my just-for-fun-and-no-so-amazing blog.

Blog love

Catching up! Catching up! It’s been two days without writing here but this challenge is coming to and ending and wanted to catch up before tomorrow… or at least try, you know!

One of the things I love most of this kind of communities is that you get to know a lot of other bloggers and their unique voices. It is nice the opportunity that things like that bring you, there are a big bunch of people out there with so many things to say!

Although I’ve been really busy (oooh I know, I’m always complaining about that) and had little time to read other people’s blogs, I’ve been reading some that are on the boat of this BEDM initiative and I’ve found a few really interesting.

I’m sharing a bit of blog love here.

This girl is a creative mind, she has the loveliest DIY and a funny voice, she always makes me laugh. Reading her I feel like we could be best friends.

I’m not usually attracted by blogs based on maternity but with this lovely momma I got caught instantly. I really love her videos and the moving goal posts.
Clare is a hell of a woman! She works on her happiness has hard as she’s able to and shares it on her blog. You can learn a lot of this scottish woman. I love Leo Tolstoy’s quote she’s got on the about page.

This illustrator has the greatest and cutest drawings. She has a unique voice and uses it to tell stories through her illustrations.

Yaya is one of the most interesting girls I’ve ever read, with her frugal lifestyle and living outside her country for the last couple years, she shares her adventures and misadventures trying to make the best life out of what she’s got. Totally in love of her like/love/loathe series.

There’s no way I can explain what Chelsea does here, she just writes and shares amazing pics. I don’t really know what is about her blog that I love so much, maybe the way she does everything with simplicity? Maybe the gorgeous smile she’s got on every photo she posts? I don’t know, but I love her blog.
Melanie, or Miss Melvis, as she likes to call herself, shares on her blog a lot of book content. She does amazing books reviews and shares every thought about them. Yes, I love books 😉

This girl has the funniest stories and shares beautiful DIY, recipes and fashion inspiration. She makes a beautiful thing out of nothing and has the greatest fashion ideas. She’s the perfect mix between being girly and adventurous.

On this blog you’ll find the most amazing DIYs you can ever think about. Ruth’s got a hand for this. Also it is a great source of inspiration for everything, since travelling to interior decor.

Hannah likes to keep things simple, and I love that of her. She shares the cutest thoughts and has a peculiar sense of humor. I love her Star Wars Day post, was because of that one I started following her, I laughed so much!

There are a lot more blogs taking part of the challenge that I find interesting, it was really hard to only pick 10, but I think I did my best, I’ve chosen the ones that I find unique or closest to my interests. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do, don’t forget to visit them and leave a comment saying hi! 😉

Hope you have a nice Thursday and we’ll meet here again this afternoon.

Museum Day

Museums, there’s something about museums that I’ve always loved: the silence, feeling history around you,  knowledge, I don’t know something. There you can stand quiet, you can think, you can enjoy art or science or history, I find it so mesmerizing.

When I was 16 I visited Paris on a school trip. We spend there a week and visited everything worth visiting and, of course, the Louvre Museum was one of the mandatory stops. I was so glad we went there with our teachers! One of the teachers spent the whole day with us talking about every room in the museum, not only about the art itself but also about the history or anecdotes of some of the paintings and sculptures.

I certainly know that it wouldn’t have been the same if I had gone on my own. I enjoyed it so much, I remember seeing the Venus of Milo and the teacher was there, telling us about how it was found, how the arms were lost and feeling overwhelmed about how much history we got around us. I found myself thinking about ancient cultures, about archaeologists, about artists about how many people made Louvre Museum possible, about their work and how we were there, staring at it, being mere spectators.

It impressed me, it was the first big museum I had ever been and I’ll never be able to forget it.

Have a nice Sunday!

This week I learned

I know, I know I said I wanted not to skip a single post… and I already missed three but Mr Chronos seems to be playing with me and always makes my time go by without me noticing.

It’s something like: Woah! Is it Sunday again? Did I do everything I planned? Ooops nope, to do all you want to, days should have 36 hours instead of 24, honey!
Every weekend I realize I should plan more realistic goals for the following week, and every weekend I make the mistake again and push myself to a nonsense week full of goals and work. But I like the way I’m always busy, is the way I am, I cannot remember myself not doing anything at all. And love having plenty of goals and projects, love my non-stop creative mind and those sleepless nights when ideas and inspiration stick around. We do have to love ourselves the way we are, don’t we?
Another Sunday and some more lovely links that I’ve been found interesting lately, all springtime related and beautiful ideas.

Is there any better idea for a springtime birthday party than these Mini balloon placecards?

With hot and sunny days salads are my favorite meal, let’s try this one!
Yes guys! Let’s put some spring everywhere. I’m loving this selection for my table.

Perfect burguers, nothing more to say!

I would give everything I have just for this view
Really in love of this way of recycling old glass bottles

Amy and her favorite New Girl’s scene, yep, it’s probably one of my favs too…

Ice cream, I’m in love with you!
Dont’ forget to take a look at these tiny tips for beeing a good and successful blogger.
Oh and I almost forgot, watch this video, its of a concert of The Kojaks!
Well, hope you enjoyed this new post and also your weekend was lovely! xoxo
