Monday’s Music: Bollywood Dancing

Hello Mondays! Today I want to share with you some special music and information. More or less one year ago I started having dancing lessons but special dancing lessons: it is Bollywood dancing. You know those Indian films where boys and girls suddenly start dancing and singing? Well, I learn how to dance this kind of music.

I love taking these lessons, it doesn’t matter what your mood is before you start dancing, once you do, you feel happy, positive and full of energy. Also I love the clothes they use, so colorful and brigth and how they enjoy dancing.

I wanted to share with you some lovely songs that I like.

Hope you enjoy and happy Monday!

This week I learned

I know, I know, every Sunday I say the same sentece: Is it Sunday again? But oh, time passes so quick… And when I think about everything I should have done and didn’t, just feel like days should have 36 hours instead of 24 and I should never sleep. Instead of this, I try to organize myself as well as I know and use my time the better I can and when I think about everything I’ve done then I realize that I did a lot of things. My conclusion: It’s all about perspective.

Here I come today with some lovely links I found last week. Hope you enjoy!

Lovely Melissa shows us how to paint our nails with a denim twist.
Love this funny DIY from Oh Happy Day
Kinsey shows us how to turn a blanket into a top.
Moorea Seal and this week’s list of her 52 lists challenge inspires me.
Beautiful Cathy encourages everyone to accomplish their dreams.

I wish I could have this Baked French Toast Sticks every morning.
Yummy and healthy food, thank you Katie!
I completely LOVE Jessica’s recipes, there’s never one I wouldn’t cook.

Katie and her outfits always inspire me, she has such a personal style!

And last but not least, I love Elizabeth’s blog and the way she repeats her clothes but she makes them different in every outfit.
This weekend was super funny, me and M. Funny went to Barcelona and spent a couple of days with my family, some family friends and my sisters boyfriends. We celebrated my little sister’s birthday.
We went to a beauty saloon and get painted our nails, the baby one had a massage with chocolate oils (it was sister’s birthday present), I cooked some cupcakes (recipe next week), ate yummy food and yesterday night played laser tag with some friends. A complete party weekend!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Sharing Films: The help

Lately I’ve spent looong days sick, I’ve caugth a stomach flu twice, and I’ve seen a lot of movies. That kind of movies you choose to avoid thinking, when you only want to distract yourself from the stomach ache and the sick feeling.

I came across this movie thinking that it was another dumb one and it was a surprise to find how beautiful it is and yet it’s a movie to watch when you’re sick.
The help tells the story of a young writer that wants to get a job on a serious newspaper and so she writes a book about black women who work in white people houses and two of those “help” women.

I prefer not to say more about it, it’s better you watch it and come with your own opinion.

Let me know if you watch it and what do you think about. Enjoy your day!

And remember:

Goat Cheese Salad

Salads, mmm I love salads, always tasty and fresh, in summer something that I eat every day. But I cannot stay without a salad even if the weather is cold (not the case lately). Today, one of my favorites, Goat Cheese Salad.

  • Lettuce
  • Canons
  • A cucumber
  • A carrot
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • Goat Cheese
  • Bacon
  • 6 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon modena vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  1. Wash the lettuce and the canons. Dry them.
  2. Peel the cucumber and the carrot, cut them into pieces.
  3. Cut the goat cheese and the tomatoes.
  4. Mix on a bowl.
  5. Prepare the dressing.
  6. Fry the bacon. It’s better if when you start eating the salad the bacon is still hot so prepare the bacon a before eating.
  7. Dress the salad and enjoy!

For the dressing:

  1. Put the honey, the Dijon mustard, the vinegar and the oil all together on a lidded jar. You can add some spices to taste, I like to add garlic powder and some thyme.
  2. Shake the jar for a few seconds et voilà!
Hope you like!

Feeling Girlie

Last week, Mr. Funny and I celebrated our 7th anniversary and we did some special things. We spent together the last weekend, stayed on his mother’s birthplace town, visited a beautiful place, went out lunch and enjoyed of some time alone.

I love dressing myself to a date with him, choosing my clothes and making me up only to surprise him and make him know how happy I am of being together for so long.

I chose this comfy new dress and started planning how to wear it. Since the weahter isn’t really cold around here recently put on a shirt, some warm tights and my new shoes. I was ready for going out!

This is an ideal outfit for a day or night date, like for example St. Valentine’s date. I really like the dress and also the shoes. They’re those special pieces that I talked about buying when I wrote my New Year’s Resolutions so I’m glad to see that I’m accomplishing them.
Outfit details: Dress-H&M winter season/Shirt, belt and tights – Old season/Shoes – Camper, winter season.

What would you wear on St. Valentine’s?

Happy Tuesday! xo

P.S: Don’t forget to enter the St. Valentine’s Giveaway!

Tracy Chapman

Hello Monday! I’m here again with some more music. Today, a special one. I discovered Tracy Chapman when I was 14 and I fell in love of her voice and her music, and then, when I started translating her lyrics I fell completely in love of her poetry.

There are some special songs that make me feel like when you’re in love: those tiny butterflies on your stomach and a stupid smile and floating around everywhere, something that doesn’t happens with normal music, only the songs that touch your soul are the ones make you feel like that. This woman has the special power of making me feel the butterflies no matter what song I listen to.

I picked some of her songs so you can feel the butterflies too, it’s was so difficult to choose them!

Hope you liked the new playlist. Is there some artist that makes you feel like that?
