On the almost two years I’ve been intermittently blogging I’ve learned many things. When I decided to start writing I barely knew anything about the blogosphere: I only read a couple of blogs, I didn’t usually read them and was so lost that I didn’t even know where to start. But the thing is since I watched Julie & Julia the idea was on the back of my head. And finally, when I decided to start digging in this world I found one of the best hobbies I could find. Now, two years later, I read too many blogs, I’ve known people from all over the world and enjoy reading their stories, looking at their pictures, trying their recipes, making their DIY and learning with their tutorials.
With this post I am starting another blog love series, because my voice wouldn’t be my voice if I didn’t read so many amazing blogs and because these blogs and the authors deserve a mention on my just-for-fun-and-no-so-amazing blog.

On one of my last posts I told you I was going to share here the reasons why I’ve been so absent the last couple of months… I’v already said that there have been a lot of changes, changes that I’m still digesting and changes that have not ended yet.
Since Mr Funny and I split our paths at the beginning of the year, my life has been in a spiral of changes that are leading me to what I hope will be my brilliant future. I’ve finished my degree (that’s not completely true but almost, I only have a couple subjects left), I’ve come back home, I’ve spent the summer working at an office, I’ve decided to start a business (surprise, surprise!)
So, my life has changed so much since January! I’m still getting used to be at home again, to work in something non-math related, to have an 8 hour workday and not spend looong hours studying. I’m still getting used to the cold of the mountains instead of the heat of Valencia, still missing my friends from there and reconnecting with my friends from here.
What I find most shocking is the way it feels so scary and at the same time fulfilling. I feel insecure, I don’t really know if I’m doing it right, but, at the same time, I feel brave. Mixed emotions that make me live everything more intensely, so much that sometimes is even frightening.
Today I came up with a song in this mood: change. This song describes more or less the way I’ve been feeling lately. Hope you enjoy!
Can you believe it? Two posts in less than 3 days!!! (Me neither, but hey! I’m on vacation).
Today’s post is a simple recipe just to see if this smoothie’s fashion goes with me or not. I wasn’t really sure if this could work because I’ve got an issue with thick textures and purees: since I was a child I am not able of eating anything with puree’s texture. That means, when I read a smoothie recipe I think: mmm this could taste so nice! (banana, berries, kiwi, vanilla yogurt… the mix couldn’t be better). And then the next thought crosses my mind: but the texture… looks like puree, yikes!
So I wasn’t sure if I was able to enjoy one of this recipes. That’s why I decided to start with a not so complicated recipe, with four simple and common ingredients and keep it simple just in case.
Since I finished my finals I’ve felt the urge of an energy boost. I feel tired and sometimes even sad because of this fatigue so when I started looking for smoothie’s recipes and found this one recommended for those people who need an extra energy blast I knew it was the smoothie I needed to try first. Ginger is the perfect supplement for your defenses and banana help you keep active. Let’s get started with this fruits, vegetables, yogurts and blenders’ world!
- A sliced banana
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 125 gr/ 4,5 oz vanilla yogurt
- Slice the banana and grate the ginger
- Put it all together and blend
The result couldn’t be better, I really enjoyed it and now know that I’ll be trying more recipes, let’s see if I can enjoy them as much as I enjoyed this one. Hope you liked this quick recipe. Let me know your impressions!
So, it’s been a long time again… I won’t complain about how busy I am or was those last months. I only can say there have been lots of changes in my life and I’m still getting used to them (I’m planning on sharing a little bit more on the next Mood’s Music post).
